Blackduck Cidery
http://www.sustainablefingerlakes.org/map/listing/blackduck-cideryTheir family has been growing fruit in the Finger Lakes region of New York for well over a decade. They have sold fresh fruit using organic standards through farmer’s markets, restaurants, natural groceries and their farm stand while patiently waiting to bring their cidery to fruition. Blackduck Cidery follows organic orchard practices and strives to produce the highest quality fruit for their cider, perry and vinegar. They hand pick and allow the fruit to sweat for optimum ripeness before pressing and fermenting. Soil, weather, cultivar types and the hand of the Blackduck team work together in harmony to bring a finished drink that is both unique and delicious.

http://www.sustainablefingerlakes.org/map/listing/crosswinds-farm-and-creameryCrosswinds Farm and Creamery is a community-minded CSA. Your investment in their farm provides them with needed income to purchase inputs for raising their animals, as well as to develop and process new products! You are not only investing in the farm, but in the 100+ local businesses they work with in the process of growing your food – you are truly investing in your community. Nearly all of the materials used to build the farm have been recycled in one way or another. In 2011, they "deconstructed" the barns at another farm & hauled all of the materials home. They love using the sun to heat the 200+ gallons of hot water needed daily for the dairy! They also recycle all of the plastics used on the dairy.
