The resulting beef is tender and juicy and never needs marinating or special treatment. The animals are butchered around age 3, having been grass-fed that whole time.

They use natural and homeopathic remedies to support herd health, and produce truly handmade sheep cheese on the farm, using only raw sheep milk from their animals. Northland produces a number of hard and soft cheeses, aged in their own cheese cave. In addition to sheep cheese, the farm grows and sells 100% grass-fed lamb and mutton, as well as tanned sheepskins. Mutton is processed by a USDA-certified, Animal Welfare Approved, Certified Organic butcher, and lamb is processed by a USDA-certified, Certified Organic butcher. Great care is taken to ensure that the animals are handled and processed humanely with minimal stress.
