Bully Hill Vineyard produces over 40 varieties of affordably priced wines, sold online and onsite, and hosts a tasting room and seasonal seasonal restaurant. Their sustainability practices include usage of recycled packaging materials, composting of processing waste, fueling tractors with waste oil from the restaurant, and recycling wastewater in fields of reed canary grass used to mulch the vineyards.
Heron Hill Winery is nestled into a hill overlooking scenic Keuka Lake, with additional tasting rooms in Himrod and Cananadaigua. For 40 years the winery has set the highest standards for wine quality, customer satisfaction and tasting room experience. Their grapes are grown without chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides, with cultivation practices that protect soil, support biodiversity, and reduce the need for irrigation. The Keuka Brewing Company was the first micro-brewery on Keuka Lake and one of the first in the western Finger Lakes region. The brewery was name the "best craft brewery in New York State" in 2014, winning the prestigious F.X. Matt Memorial Cup Award. Keuka Brewing is run by a father-son team who take pride in their commitment to creating quality beer and locally sourcing ingredients when possible. At the helm of brewer Mark Musso, the brewery creates some of the most unique and forward-thinking brews in the region.
NYPAN-SFL is a grassroots organization dedicated to the promotion of progressive issues at the local level. They are inspired by the political movement started by Senator Bernie Sanders but are open to participation from all progressives regardless of their political-party affiliation. Their leadership members meet regularly to plan activities (including public outreach and education around the issues), to build networks, and to recruit and support candidates for public office. They are a chapter of the statewide umbrella group New York Progressive Action Network (NYPAN).
Point of the Bluff Vineyards derives its name from the location of their original acreage of Riesling vines which is situated on the tip of Keuka Lake's iconic Bluff. Established in 2008, Point of the Bluff Vineyards offers award-winning wines from their winemaker with over 20 years of experience. This allows them to be closely involved with every aspect from planting to bottling.
As a New York State Farm brewery they are required to use a minimum of 20% NYS-grown hops and 20% NYS-grown additional ingredients such as barley, wheat, rye, oats, and honey to name a few. Currently 70% or more of their ingredients are grown right here in NYS, including 100% of their hops and 100% of their base malts!
