Hotel Skyler

The Hotel Skyler is a LEED-Platinum hotel in Syracuse, New York. This hotel utilizes many energy efficient efficient methods such as lights and heat/cooling systems shutting down when the guests leave the room. It also features geothermal heating and cooling systems, which utilizes the steady temperature of the earth. The system consists of 16 vertical wells and 68 water-to-air heat pumps. Hotel Skyler also has a strong emphasis on local and sustainable products. It was made to incorporate regionally-produced and reclaimed materials. They also serve sustainable wines, beer, and liquor and offer healthy take-away meals, snacks, and coffee.
