People for a Healthy Environment, Inc, is a grass-roots organization dedicated to informing and inspiring fellow citizens to safeguards our air, water, soil and to maintain the health and natural beauty of our environment. Regular meetings of PHE are at 6:00pm on the third Tuesday of every month except December, at the Horseheads Library. In addition to a short business meeting, there is usually a short presentation on a topical subject, and updates about current projects.

Trailblazers PAC

Trailblazers PAC provides resources for local candidates to rebuild ties between voters and their democracy, one "front porch" conversation at a time. Trailblazers is a nonpartisan political action committee dedicated to the funding and promotion of rookie candidates committed, first and foremost, to campaign finance transparency. Centered primarily in local races, Trailblazers PAC is pitched as a funding channel that “trains as it funds,” serving as a sort of farm program for ordinary citizens looking to take on more seasoned politicians. It's founder is Leslie Danks-Burke who ran for the state senate in 2016.
