Compost Education Program and Tompkins County Master Composters

The Compost Education Program and Tompkins County Master Composters are programs of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County. They exist to support residents to compost organic food and yard waste in ways that are easy, cost effective and environmentally and socially responsible. Their programs support the goal of the Tompkins County Department of Recycling and Materials Management, their funders, to divert compostable materials from the waste stream and maximize waste reduction in the County.
