ASGA promotes grazing livestock on solar installations. They are developing best practices that support shepherds and solar developers to both effectively manage solar installations and create new agribusiness profits.

The primary goal of the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board's Energy Management program is to promote the use of energy conservation measures and alternative energy development in Central New York. To help achieve this goal, the CNY RPDB received designation in 2007 by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to serve as the Energy Smart Communities Coordinator in Central New York. This designation provided the agency an opportunity to increase its commitment to helping individuals, businesses, and local units of government access a range of technical assistance services and financial resources which are available to support energy initiatives in their communities.

Energy Independent Caroline is a collaborative effort between residents, Town Board, and other interested people to effectively use our natural resources to achieve energy independence from fossil fuels on a municipal & residential level. Their mission is to produce power for electricity, heat, and transportation from renewable resources. To accomplish this, they initiate renewable energy projects while educating Caroline residents about energy issues in order to build commitment to reducing energy consumption.

Geneva Community Power is a local renewable energy program serving residents and businesses in the NY Finger Lakes region. The Town of Geneva and Joule Community Power have partnered to establish the program that allows subscribers to benefit from solar energy by spending less on electricity while supporting clean energy generation.

MEGA is a non-profit, community-based, energy cost savings program that complies with all public bidding requirements for your energy purchases. It is purposefully designed to connect consumers with professional energy consultants who can help with the competitive business bidding process.

Solar Tompkins is a nonprofit community-based organization promoting a pathway to net-zero-carbon homes in Tompkins County, NY. This includes facilitating the adoption of solar and other renewable energy sources, reducing the energy needs of homes while enhancing comfort, and providing affordable, non-fossil-fuel alternatives for home heating, which accounts for 3/4 of the home energy footprint in our cold-winter climate. The Solar Tompkins Board includes volunteer representatives from all 10 towns in Tompkins County, a representative from the Tompkins County Planning Department, and several 'at-large' members chosen for their expertise and knowledge. They are now focused on the HeatSmart Tompkins project as a transition away from solar provision and more toward energy efficiency through the installation of geothermal heat pumps.

Southern Tier Solar Works is the clean energy outreach and marketing program of the Binghamton Regional Sustainability Coalition. They work across the region to spur affordable and efficient deployment of solar, energy efficiency and other clean energy solutions by helping to inform you about technologies, policies, and incentives.
